Edmonton Meals on Wheels Needs Your Vintage Vehicles and Custom Cars

Edmonton Meals on Wheels is looking for drivers of vintage vehicles and custom cars to take part in the 5^th annual Big Wheels Deliver Meals^TM event on Friday, June 8. The time commitment for drivers is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This annual driving event and show n’ shine is a fundraiser for Edmonton Meals on Wheels.

As the event has grown over the years, so has the need to find cool cars – and their drivers – to take part. Local celebrities (government officials, media personalities, etc.) are paired up with the drivers to deliver meals to Meals on Wheels clients throughout the city. Many Meals on Wheels clients are homebound and receive very few visitors. Looking out the window to see a bright blue Thunderbird or hot pink Chevy adds some excitement to their day.

After meals are delivered, everyone meets back at Meals on Wheels where a show n’ shine takes place on 103 Ave from 111 St to 112 St. The general public also joins us for a BBQ and fundraising activities.
