Donate Services

Grow a Row

Grow a Row promotes going green and eating local. We invite our local gardeners and farmers to donate their fresh produce to us. These fruits, herbs and vegetables will be used to make the meals that nourish the body and feed the soul. Come into our office and we’ll give you potato peelings to use in your organic fertilizer. Keep your garden feeding the community!

There are several ways you can help collect fresh produce for Meals on Wheels:

  • At the u-pick gardens you can pick an extra bucket for Meals on Wheels.
  • When walking the river valley, take a bucket for Saskatoon picking for Meals on Wheels.
  • Thinking of planting raspberry bushes in your back alley easement? Weeds won’t grow, but a few raspberry canes will provide well for Meals on Wheels.

All donated produce is added to our daily menus. Not only does it help keep our operational costs down, but it adds natural flavour to our meals.

Fresh produce can be dropped off at 11111 103 Ave weekdays between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Email or call 780-429-2020 for more information.

Wish List

You can help us in other ways too! From donating commercial kitchen equipment to gas cards for delivery vans, your contribution will go a long way in helping us meet the needs of our clients. For a full list of items needed by Meals on Wheels, email or call 780-429-2020.
