7:00 am 3:00 pm (flexibility is required)

Edmonton Meals on Wheels requires a Scheduling & Volunteer Coordinator to help us achieve our mission by scheduling our large & diverse team of Volunteer Meal Delivery Drivers. Volunteers are your customer and the agency’s community ambassadors!

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

-       Main point of contact for all volunteers from a variety of backgrounds, ages and abilities.

-       Ensures that all aspects of the daily meal delivery process runs smoothly and efficiently.

-       Scheduling a minimum of 25 Volunteer Meal Delivery Drivers daily.

-       Lead, inspire and support a team of dedicated volunteers.

-       Overseeing daily meal delivery which may include driving all areas of Edmonton in all types of weather, standing, lifting, climbing, and walking.

-       Excellent time management, attention to detail and organization.

-       Thrives under pressure with tight deadlines.

-       Strong ability to think on your feet and problem solve in an always-changing environment.

-       Excellent communication skills.

-       Scheduling experience an asset.

Minimum Qualifications:

-       Current valid driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract

-       Clear criminal record including vulnerable sector search.

-       Strong knowledge of the city or willingness to learn.

-       A reliable vehicle that can be at work every day.

-       Fluent in English (writing, reading, speaking).

-       Physically fit: Ability to stand for 4 hours, walk, climb stairs, and lift 40 pounds.

-       Strong computer skills including knowledge of MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, Google Maps
