Edmonton Meals on Wheels offers two different programs which gives you access to a Registered Dietitian and the opportunity to learn about nutrition.
Mark your calendar! On the first Tuesday of each month from 12 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. our Registered Dietitian leads a lunch and learn session on various nutrition and healthy living topics.
Sessions are free, so pre-registration is required. Either bring your own lunch or purchase the lunch of the day for $3.25. Parking is free.

Are you a senior who is interested in learning about healthy eating? How to be a wise grocery shopper? Read nutrition labels?
Or are you a senior’s organization or apartment manager and know of seniors that could benefit from our Eating Made Easy Workshops? Do you operate a place where seniors gather or live? Are you looking for an informative and interactive new program to offer your members?
Our Eating Made Easy Nutrition Workshops consist of four 1 1/2 hour sessions facilitated by our Registered Dietitian. The workshops are designed to provide reliable, current nutrition information and cooking demonstrations geared to help independent living seniors make wise choices. Learn what’s fact or myth, get motivated to enjoy cooking and sample some yummy, easy to make recipes. You will have a chance to ask questions and discuss and share ideas or recipes on cooking for one or two.
There is a $20 charge per participant which includes a copy of the Eating Made Easy resource book. Minimum enrolment per workshop is 10 people.
