Meet Glenn, Our Featured Volunteer!

This month’s Featured Volunteer believes in the Meals on Wheels mission and isn’t afraid to share it with others. Glenn was looking for a meaningful way to give back to his community when he came to us in 2015. His background in the food service industry made him a great fit, but he decided to join because he felt connected to the work we do. It didn’t take long for Glenn to see how his contributions were helping. After his first interaction with a client, he realized how impactful our services were for someone in need. He even took his eleven-year-old daughter with him delivering meals so she could see the value of giving back. Since joining our team, Glenn has taken on many roles: He’s been a volunteer, Board member, and most importantly, an advocate. Glenn takes every opportunity to tell others about Meals on Wheels and the difference we make in our community. “I am inspired by everyone’s passion for our organization and hope to inspire others to feel the same”, he says. As a local business owner, Glenn uses his connections to get others involved whenever he can. Most recently, Glenn has been a big help organizing the venue, as well as helping to secure entertainment, sponsors, and silent auction items for our Annual Fundraiser. If someone was interested in volunteering at Meals on Wheels, Glenn would tell them, “Do it! The difference we make is incredible”. Through his volunteer work, Glenn hopes to help those who need it most. When he isn’t at our office or running his restaurant, he likes to keep busy playing golf, watching football, or eating chocolate. We are so thankful and appreciative of Glenn’s loyalty and commitment to Edmonton Meals on Wheels. Thank you, Glenn, for all that you do!
