Essential Toiletry Kits

We’ve all been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, but some groups have been hit particularly hard. Isolated individuals, those with limited community support, illness, frailty or mobility challenges may not have access to essential toiletry products that are necessary for basic hygiene. This puts their physical health at risk, as well as their dignity and self-esteem.

Edmonton Meals on Wheels, in collaboration Age Friendly Edmonton and other senior and cultural organizations, is taking action to address this issue through our Essential Toiletry Kit initiative! We know that big problems such as this one require big solutions. That's why we've teamed up and pulled our resources together to tackle this issue head on.Together, we hope to collect, assemble and deliver 1000 Essential Toiletry Kits to those in need!

This goal will only be reached with the help of our community. We are asking the public and corporate sector to donate NEW essential toiletries listed below.

Essential Items:

New, unopened toiletries can be dropped off at St. Andrews United Church (9915 148 Street NW) from Tuesday to Friday between 9 am – 1 pm. To protect the safety of our staff and volunteer safety, we kindly ask that people do NOT bring the toiletries directly to Edmonton Meals on Wheels at this time.

Referrals to this project can be made to the outreach or home support program at participating senior centers or directly to Edmonton Meals on Wheels by calling 780-429-2020 or by email at emow@mealsonwheelsedmonton.org.

We encourage those who can connect by email or through social media to please do so, thus leaving our telephone line free for clients and those who have no other means to connect with us.
