  • Our delicious meals are delivered by friendly, security-checked volunteers who are sure to greet you with a smile. Volunteers are always sure to check in on the well-being of our clients.
Free Delivery
  • Our fresh meals are delivered free of charge 5 days a week from 11:00 am-1:00 pm, and the recipient must be at the designated location (home or office) to receive order. All weekend and holiday meals will be delivered on Fridays.
Healthy Meals
  • Say goodbye to meal planning and preparation – we're here to make healthy eating easy and accessible. Our daily meal program provides nutritious, chef-prepared meals with a stamp of approval from a registered dietitian.

FAQs

How do I pay?

We offer multiple payment options for your convenience. We prefer credit or debit payments. Please talk to the staff if you need other options.

To get started, we require a deposit to be placed on your account. Your deposit will be applied to your last month of service. This deposit helps us ensure a seamless meal delivery experience for you.

If you have any questions about payment methods, the deposit process, or need assistance setting up your account, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Our dedicated team is here to assist you and provide any necessary guidance.

 

How are the meals heated?

Meals are heated in microwave or oven. Full instructions are provided with your first meal delivered. Never reheat our meals in a toaster oven.

I am on AISH or other restricted income, do I qualify for subsidy?

We base subsidized meals upon review of your most current Notice of Assessment from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). This is not your tax return, but the verification your taxes are complete from CRA.

I am a caregiver, how do I fill out your form?

To ensure we can provide the best service for your family member, friend, or client, please make sure to include all the necessary details about the person for whom the meals will be prepared. This includes information such as dietary preferences, allergies, portion sizes, delivery instructions, and any specific meal requirements. If you have any additional information that could assist us in tailoring our service to your person's needs, please feel free to include that as well. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with the information we need to offer a personalized and thoughtful meal service.

Me or the person I am setting up meals for can't be home during your delivery window, can we give directions for a set time?

No, our meal prices are kept reasonable in part through volunteer drivers who deliver the meals. Each day the number of meals and volunteers who will deliver to your area will vary. Therefore, we cannot guarantee specific delivery times.

Are your meals low in sodium?

We take great care in preparing meals that are not only delicious but also aligned with various dietary preferences and needs and our meals are low in sodium. Instead of relying on excessive salt, we use a variety of herbs and seasonings to enhance the flavours of our dishes. This approach allows us to provide you with a nutritious and flavourful meal while keeping sodium levels in check.

We understand that individual tastes can vary, and that's why we also offer the option for you to add salt or pepper to your meals at home, according to your personal preference. Our goal is to cater to a diverse range of needs and ensure that every recipient can enjoy our meals in a way that suits them best.

 

 

Are your meals spicy?

Our meals are thoughtfully prepared to cater to a wide range of preferences and dietary needs. We understand that some individuals may prefer milder flavors, and we want to assure you that our meals are not intentionally made spicy. Our focus is on providing delicious, balanced meals that are suitable for a diverse group of recipients.

If you have any specific dietary requirements or preferences, please feel free to let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate them. Your comfort and satisfaction are important to us, and we want to ensure that you enjoy every aspect of the meals we provide.

 

Is the food good?

Our team takes great pride in crafting delicious and nutritious meals to serve our community. Rest assured, we are committed to maintaining high standards when it comes to the taste, quality, and variety of our food. Our dedicated chefs and staff work diligently to ensure that every meal we deliver is not only good in taste but also meets the dietary needs of our recipients. We believe in continuous improvement and would love to hear any feedback you might have after trying our meals.

Are the menu items interchangeable?

The menu for our Chef’s Choice® Daily Meals is on a six-week rotation as set out by our Chef. A set monthly menu is published ahead of time so you can see the daily meals.For Chef’s Choice® frozen meals, clients choose which meals and meal items they would like.

Are there requirements to receive meals?

No. There are no membership fees and no referrals needed. There are also no age restrictions. You don’t need to be over a certain age to receive our meals. At present, 13% of our clients are under 60 years old. Some people need to use our meal service temporarily – after being discharged from the hospital, for example. Others need our services on a more permanent basis.

There are multiple people in our household, can we do one intake for all of us?

Each individual receiving meals must have a unique account. If everyone in your household is on a regular diet receiving the same meal package, one intake can suffice, but each individual will still be billed separately. If there are differences in diet or meal packages we recommend one intake per person.
